Anyone can explain at length. Explaining under a hard constraint — 100 words, no jargon, exactly one analogy — is a test of whether the understanding is actually there.
Why this matters: You cannot compress what you do not understand. Generate a tightly constrained explanation, then ask honestly whether you could have written it yourself. Wherever the answer is no, you have found this week’s revision priority.
