Difficult conversations go badly mostly because you improvise them. Rehearsing against a model that plays the other side lets you fail privately and cheaply first.
Why this matters: Terminations, grievance outcomes and restructure announcements are the conversations where a single clumsy sentence becomes a tribunal exhibit. You will handle the real one better for having done it once.
